Sur-employé en patois évangélique, ce verbe peut prendre plusieurs significations:

Souvent, il est lié à la prière: remettre un problème signifie en faire part à Dieu et lui demander son intervention, souvent sans préciser de quelle manière celle-ci doit avoir lieu. A ce titre, remettre implique souvent une idée de confiance en Dieu, de ne plus avoir soi-même le soucis du problème en question.
On peut également remettre une personne, à savoir la confier à la Grâce de Dieu
Remettre le repas renvoie à la prière introductrice de celui-ci, aux grâces bref à la bénédiction du repas.
